Quiltathon Check- In

I stopped to take a break. I don't have any photos, but I've been busy yesterday and today cutting out quilts to work on during the retreat I am going on this week.

Judy has a link box set up on her blog, so if you would like to join in on the fun, or you want to see what everyone else is doing, click on their highlighted name and you can visit their blog!

I got my dining room table quilt cut out. It was easy cutting, but time consuming too. I had more fabrics than I thought I did. I'm glad I decided on the Disappearing 9-Patch for the design. It was easy cutting. I couldn't decide how big I wanted to make my blocks, so I took the easy way and cut them the width of my ruler, which was 6 inches. All of my little squares are pretty together. It was hard not to start sewing, but I knew I had more cutting out to do!

Today, so far, I have cut out Cameron and Brayden's race car quilts. I haven't decided on Gatlin's, yet. He's almost 2 and doesn't need a twin size quilt. I have more panels and some left over fabric. I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Next I am going to start cutting out Alexis' quilt (there I go again with the palm sweat thing. As long as I have been quilting you would think that something like this wouldn't scare me, but it does. I guess I just like for everything to be pretty and work out the right way). I have lots of fabrics, so it should be cute, once I figure out how it's going to look.

I better get busy again!

  1. I don't enjoy the cutting out part. My back gets sore, sign of old age I gues. By the way, I loved the fabrics pictured in the previous post, can't wait to see how your quilts turn out! Have fun at your retreat.
