Apron In An Hour

This past Christmas, Jona gave her blog readers a Christmas present: her "Apron In An Hour" tutorial. In case you missed it, you can find it on her sidebar under "tutorials".

I made this one for a wedding present. Haley (the bride to be) is getting married in June and today is her wedding shower. The theme is "kitchen". I knew right away that I wanted to make her an apron from Jona's tutorial.

Haley's kitchen colors are black and a 1950's turquoise. While I was in Paducah the past 2 days (shopping till I almost dropped) I found this cute fork and spoon fabric and I love this turquoise and black polka dot. I knew that Jona's "Apron in an Hour" would be perfect (especially since I got the invitation a month ago), and it was. It really did take an hour to make.

While you're visiting Jona's blog, check out her online quilt shop, Fabritopia. I drool every time I visit her store! And, if you click on "kits", you'll find kits to make your own "apron in an hour"!

Have a great Sunday!

Amanda

  16. I love the fork & spoon fabric you used - how perfect for an apron!

Question: how did you get your bow to look so nice? Each time I put my apron on I fiddle with the bow but it never looks right and eventually I just get on with cooking but I'd love to have such a crisp looking bow! :)
