Welcome to all of the bloggers visiting from Amy's for the Bloggers Quilt Festival! This is so exciting! If you're a first time visitor, thanks for visiting my blog; you're welcome back any time!
If you haven't heard about the Quilt Festival, Amy decided that since most of us won't be able to attend Spring Quilt Market and the Quilt Festival that so many of our blogger friends attend as quilt designers, fabric designers, (and so much more!) that we should have our own Quilt Festival in blogland.
My quilt is called "Corner Flower Shop". It was made by me and machine quilted by my best friend, Terry.
I saw this quilt on the front cover of the Spring issue of Quilts and More in 2007 and just had to make it! It was designed by Barbara at Quilt Soup. The fabrics are from one of my first bloggging friends, Holly Holderman of Lakehouse Drygoods (her fabrics are heavenly). I don't usually buy a kit when I see a quilt pattern in a magazine, but I couldn't resist on this one. The kit came from fellow blogger and quilt shop owner Nadine at Material Girls Quilt Shop (a top ten quilt shop that was featured in Quilt Sampler!).
When I showed the quilt to my daughter (the hands and the feet in the picture) she asked me, "Who is this one for?" I told her it was for us! Nope, I'm not giving this one away! It's adorable hanging out by my sunflowers, but it's beautiful, too, hanging behind my couch in my family room celebrating Spring!
Thanks to Amy for hosting this! She's decided to have another one to coincide with Fall Quilt Market in October (great idea, Amy!) Thanks, too, to all of the wonderful sponsors (the Vendor Mall on her sidebar!) supporting this event! Shopping and Prizes!! How fun!!!
Now, click on this button in my sidebar to see all of the other bloggers participating.
Have fun!
I have to show this one to my daughter. She will love all the bright colors :)
