Quiltathon Check In #2 and Something Special!

This is so fun!!!

You're not going to believe it...I finally figured out my Hannah Montana Quilt. I'll tell you more later, just in case I think I figured it out and I didn't. :)

Right now the sewing has to stop because I'm giving Alexis a birthday party. She's 7.
Steve's cooking hamburgers, and I'm playing with the grand kids. I love how he likes to cook.

Now for something special. Today I was in Books A Million and picked up the latest Quiltmaker. On the page page under the "Quiltmaker Spotlight" is a gorgeous quilt called "Whiteout". I was reading the article and I couldn't believe my eyes! My fellow Christmas Cottage Exchange friend, Ruth, is the person who made the quilt! It's gorgeous. It reminds me of the whiteouts that I used to see when I lived for 4 years in PA in the snow zone. Congratulations, Ruth!

I'll do another report later!

  1. Glad you were able to sew with us today. I can't believe Alexis is already 7 years old! I don't think I've seen the Quiltmaker yet. I love Ruthie! She and I have the same birthday -- same year and everything! Guess that makes us almost twins.
