Looks Like Someone Else is Having a Big Day, Too!

I have been patiently waiting for the Spring Quilts and More magazine to be on the newstands. I love this magazine! My other reason? Monica casually said she designed a quilt for the Spring issue a month or so ago.

Sunday I visited Pam's blog. She already had the magazine! She always gets it before I do! Anyway, since I can't drive(surgery) I had to wait until my husband could take me to Books A Million.

Monica, the quilt is absoulutely gorgeous and "fierce"(Project Runway term) all at the same time! I love how it is "artsy", but in a tradional way. The fabrics you used are perfect. It gives that "controlled scrappy" look that I love. This is deffintely one that I will be making.

Other bloggers that I am familiar with are also in the magazine. There's an article about Anna Maria Horner, pictures of her beautiful family, and a really cute project. Also, the front cover features Lakehouse Drygood fabrics from Holly Holderman. That girl really knows how to make lucious fabrics!

Congratulations, girls!

  7. Hi Amanda, I just love this magazine too! I find I make 2 or 3 things from each magazine, I can't say that about most of the magazines. I love your blog too. Barb from oceanwaves quilts@typepad.com
