My 4 Little Pumpkins

My 3rd grandson celebrated his 3rd birthday on October the 3rd at my house!

It was a beautiful day, and the perfect time to shoot the grand kids' fall picture. Laura dressed them in their Halloween themed outfits, so I grabbed "Happy Jacks" off the wall behind my couch, flung the quilt over the fence, and started shooting.

Here's Alexis, Brayden (the one with the skull on his shirt), Cameron, and Gatlin.

Gatlin thinks everything that is round is a ball.
As you can see here, he's determined to get this pumpkin to roll.

Here's Alexis with a big grin just like the Happy Jacks!

Cameron has a big grin, too!

Here's the birthday boy, Brayden!

Afterwards we ate pizza and birthday cake.

A visit from Hanna Montana (NOT)

sort of freaked everyone out and scared the kids: my kids, that is. The grand kids thought it was funny. My kids made me promise to never do that again.

Hmm. I'll have to think about that!

Who knows, she may show up at mine and Cameron's birthday on the 28th. Yes, I have a grandson born on my birthday; my 40th birthday. Who would have ever known that my birthday cakes would be Nascar themed?

Who is Jeff Gordon anyway? Just kidding.

Be sure to visit Melissa's Blog on Sunday for the Cottage Open House on Sunday, October 13. The fun is already beginning, so go check it out!

I won't be blogging the next few days. My kids are on Fall break, so we're planning on having some fun shopping, seeing friends we haven't seen in a while, and more. Hopefully the "more" part includes seeing some fall leaves, and getting in some quilting time.

  4. Amanda, It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud. I'm more of a smiler when something funny is said or done. When I saw you in that wig all I could do was giggle. How fun. Then when I read you freaked out your kids, I had to laugh hard. I can just imagine my kids reaction to a spoof like that! I love to make them groan. The grandkids are darling. And happy early birthday. Such a cute post.

  7. Love the pictures of the grandkids in front of your quilt. What a neat grandma you are to get Hannah Montana to show up for such a special day. I think that is just too funny. I "freaked out" my grandson this past summer when I said we were going to take "Brown Bear" around town and take pictures of him going to the post office, for ice cream, the playground, etc. He was hesitant at first and then realized it was a lot of fun and so did all the people that we encountered on our outing. I think I probably do a lot more goofy stuff with my grandson than I did with my own kids. However, our house was the one where you could glue and glitter so we were a hit when I would get out the craft stuff. The cottage party was fun, and so is blogging!
