Christmas Cottage Block Exchange
I had so much fun making little Christmas Cottages for the Christmas Cottage Block Exchange that Nanette and Teri coordinated. I explained about it here.
They had a lot of people that wanted to participate so they divided the groups into 12 people. My 12 people are: Sherri,Ruthie,Lynda,Carrie,(no blog),Karla,(no blog)Shauna,Caitty,Pam,
Mary, Candace, and me!
These are two of my blocks. I think the one on the left looks like Heather Bailey with her dark hair and bangs. The one on the right looks like Elizabeth giving much attention to detail as she does when she designs her beautiful quilts.
I didn't add rick-rack on my blocks because I couldn't find the small sized rick-rack. All I could find is the large, and it was too big for the block.
Thanks, Nanette for your adorable cottage block tutorial and your idea to host a block exchange. Thanks to Teri for helping Nanette to organize what turned into a huge event. It's been fun to visit everyone elses blogs and make new friends.

Did you remember to set your clock back and hour? An extra hour(I wish),or at least it seems that way.

I mentioned in one of my latest posts that I would take you on tour of my sewing room. Last night it was so clean from having my quilting party the other day. Well, that didn't last very long. I played with my fabric for a little while and then I sewed the binding down on my leaf quilt. Things are messy, right now, but hey, it's only 6:53 am here. I think I'm going to love this time change!!!!
Have a great Sunday!

I love it when my sewing room is clean, but it seems to call louder to me to come mess it up. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteToo cute. By the time everyone exchanges, you will have a village.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are great! I'm glad I'm in your exchange group...love the scenes from the windows!
ReplyDeleteit was fun watching all the cottages come together and meet everyone:)
ReplyDeleteWhat cutie pies!! They look just adorable! I just love the cottages...the fabric for the children in the windows is some of my favorite. I am drawn to the retro 1950s design. Fantastic job!!
ReplyDeleteI think I love your houses the most of any I've seen, I love that you've got the scenes through the windows! Makes me almost wish I'd taken part.....maybe next time!
ReplyDeleteWell we had to do a last minute switcharoo. I'm so excited to get an Amanda Block!. So expect one from me. It is really fun for me to have it work out like this. I will get a block from nearly everyone in the exchange. And hopefully everyone will get one from me. I've been busy but it has been a labor of love. I can't wait to see how you put your blocks together. Thank you so much Amanda.
ReplyDeleteDear Amanda,
